Collector's questions answered.

Will the colours in your prints last over time?

Ans. All prints are produced using archival pigment inks on museum-grade fine art paper. When properly framed and kept out of direct sunlight, they are designed to retain their colour and detail for decades.

What is the difference between a giclée print and a screen print?

Ans. Giclée prints are high-resolution fine art reproductions created using archival inkjet technology, allowing for subtle tonal detail and painterly texture.

Screen prints are created by hand, with each colour individually layered through a stencil process. This gives them a slightly tactile, graphic quality and makes each edition feel more like an original object.

Are your prints signed and limited edition?

Ans. Yes. All limited edition prints are hand-signed and numbered. Edition sizes are kept intentionally small to maintain collectability and ensure each piece retains its sense of rarity over time.

What materials do you use in your original paintings?

Ans. Original works are created using professional-grade acrylic and oil paints on stretched canvas. I use high-quality, lightfast pigments to ensure colour stability and longevity.

What themes does your work explore?

Ans. My work explores ideas around connection, scale, and the surreal qualities of everyday life. I’m interested in how familiar environments can be re-imagined to feel slightly uncanny, immersive, or dreamlike.

Do your artworks come framed?

Ans. Framing options are available for most works on paper. Frames are made using conservation-grade materials, including acid-free backing and UV-protective glazing where possible.

Do you ship internationally?

Ans. Yes — artworks are securely packaged and shipped both within New Zealand and internationally using tracked courier services.

How are artworks packaged for delivery?

Ans. Prints are either flat-packed with protective layers or rolled in heavy-duty art tubes. Original paintings are carefully wrapped using protective materials to ensure they arrive safely.

How long will my order take to arrive?

Ans. Orders are typically processed within a few working days. Delivery timeframes vary depending on location, but tracking details will always be provided once your order has been dispatched.

Can I commission a custom artwork?

Ans. I rarely take on commissions. However, if you’re interested in discussing a custom piece, please get in touch via the contact page.

Are limited edition prints considered original artworks?

Ans. Limited edition prints are not reproductions in the traditional sense. Each edition is produced in a strictly controlled quantity, hand-signed and numbered. Once an edition sells out, no further prints are made, which helps preserve rarity and collectability.

What makes a limited edition print collectible?

Ans. Collectability is often influenced by the size of the edition, the materials used, and whether the work is signed by the artist. Smaller edition sizes and archival production methods are generally preferred by collectors looking for long-term value.

Are your screen prints made by hand?

Ans. Yes — screen prints are created through a manual layering process, with each colour applied individually. This gives each work a distinct physical presence and subtle variations that are not present in digitally produced reproductions.

Is a giclée print a reproduction or an artwork?

Ans. A giclée print is a fine art reproduction created using archival pigment inks and professional printing techniques. When produced in limited editions and signed by the artist, they are widely collected as part of an artist’s official body of work.

Do you create your own editions?

Ans. Yes — I work closely with trusted printmakers and oversee the production of all editions to ensure they accurately reflect the original work in both colour and detail.
